Hello patients of Westlake Dental,

 

I hope you are all staying healthy and safe. I have young children and so do many of the staff members. With so much uncertainty about schools and closures these days, it is hard to plan for the future but we are working on a series of potential paths forward to continue to provide you with dental care in a safe and reasonable manner. We feel that up to this point we have been able to plan appropriately in order to minimize disruptions to patients and we are looking forward to continuing this in the future. For example, one possibility would be breaking up the team into smaller groups that could handle patient flow starting earlier in the morning, and others that would start after school drop-offs. We will keep you updated on any changes in the office.

 

Our team members have been working very hard to keep everyone safe and healthy. Those of you that have been in for an appointment in the last month or two have seen the changes we have implemented, in particular having extra staff for cleaning/disinfection, and under booking our chairs to limit the number of patients in the office at one time. We realize how valuable your time is and appreciate our patients that can confirm their appointments ahead of time. We recognize that "life happens" and sometimes a patient has a good reason for being late or cancelling at the last minute. However our time is valuable as well, and patients that have repeat cancellations or no-shows may be charged a small cancellation fee, or asked to only make appointments when there happens to be same-day availability. We appreciate your understanding as our community businesses work to keep the doors open in a safe manner.

 

Finally, we are in the process of updating our contract with some dental insurance companies. You may receive an automated letter from your insurance company stating that our office will no longer be in­network. Please rest assured we are working for this process to have as minimal disruptions as possible. We may experience some chages in your covered benefits while these companies update their systems but most insurances have multiple fee schedules that a patient will be covered under while still coming to our office. During this time, we will continue to ,accept your insurance and bill your insurance on your behalf. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, these will be applied to your treatments at our office. Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We appreciate your patience with us during this process as we work hard to improve our service offered to you!
