Westlake Dental Associates is equipped with advanced technology in order to do lab work in-house, saving patients time and money while increasing precision and quality
Drs. Constantinou and Chrzanowski also understand that patients need more than technical knowledge for proper healthcare, which is why the dentists and staff stress the importance of interpersonal skills. The dentists love spending time with patients, getting to know them as people before they do as patients, and educating them about various procedures.
When a patient begins care at Westlake Dental, pictures are taken of his or her teeth, but equally important is the smiling head shot the staff takes so that each person is referenced by a face instead of a patient number.
Dr. Constantinou doesn’t just want to treat patients; he wants to treat them better than they might have expected.
The first friendly faces and voices patients encounter are Kerry, Brenda and April, who handle the front desk operations. Bianca, Bernadett, Ashley and Jaritza comprise the clinical side of the team.
The caring team at Westlake Dental offers a wide range of services for families, including comprehensive check-ups, fillings, crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, onlays, simple and surgical extractions of unsalvageable teeth, Zoom teeth whitening, invisible braces, dentures and partial dentures, bite balancing, and treatment of TMJ.
To protect teeth in special situations, Drs. Constantinou and Chrzanowski address clenching, grinding, and snoring, as well as sports injuries, with custom-fit mouth guards.
Designing, engineering, and fitting dental implants to replace damaged or missing teeth is the fastest growing specialty within the practice. Utilizing 3-D imaging and CEREC technology that are in-house and interact with each other, the team can build a tooth that’s natural looking and perfectly in synch with its surrounding teeth and roots. Dental implants can also play a key role for patients looking to stabilize dentures.
Dr. Constantinou’s first task upon heading up the practice in 2013 was to gather the entire staff as a group and craft a mission statement
to define their culture, which he describes as “very non-corporate.”
The group approach is to treat patients like family, providing the best-case synergy of technology, relationships, and compassionate care.
Every morning the team goes over the day’s schedule and discusses the patients they will see. This is usually a time to compare notes on teeth, but also a time to discuss the patients’ overall wellbeing as well as personal information, such as sports they like, subjects in school if they are children, and social talking points if they are adults.
